HOW TO USE
-
UsageUse on concrete, asphalt, previously coated surfaces, primed wood and metal. Not recommended for ponding water areas. Not for use on exterior wood decks, garage floors or other automobile parking areas.
-
PrepAll surfaces should be fully cured, reasonably smooth and free from any dirt or loose foreign materials, drippings, oil or grease. Scrub oil-soaked surfaces with a strong degreaser compound. Remove all traces of the degreaser by scrubbing the area with a brush and a large amount of clean water and allow to dry completely. Power washing is an excellent way to clean large areas quickly. Clean joints and cracks to remove all foreign material. Patch voids with appropriate crack patching material. Areas where ponding water is evident should be leveled prior to application.
-
ApplicationPaint only when surface and air temperatures are 55–90 °F (13–32 ºC). Avoid application in direct, hot sun, or late in the day, or when dew or rain is likely in the next 8 hours. Do not apply to wet surfaces or areas prone to ponding water. Mix well prior to application and occasionally during application in order to keep the texture of the finish uniform. Intermix all cans to ensure color and sheen uniformity. Apply to small areas (stairs, etc.) with a high quality polyester brush and to large areas with a 1/4" or 3/8” nap roller. For large areas, pour Skid Not® Coating in a long, continuous bead across the “shorter side” of the surface. Spread the product uniformly and finish with long, even strokes in the same direction for uniform sheen and texture. After drying, apply second coat, if necessary or desired, at a right angle to the first coat after 24 hours drying time. Thinning is not recommended.
