HOW TO USE

  • Usage
Properly prepared or previously painted interior and exterior doors, trim and cabinets.
  • Prep
Previously Painted Surfaces: Thoroughly clean the surface and allow to dry. Remove all dirt, dust, chalk, rust, grease, wax and mildew. Scrape off loose and peeling paint. Dull glossy surfaces by sanding. Bare Wood, Plywood/Composition Board: For best results over heavily stained areas and bleeding woods such as redwood and cedar, use a coat of stain-blocking primer. Metal: Remove rust on galvanized surfaces and prime with a rust-inhibitive metal primer. For drastic color changes or deep, vivid colors, prime with this product or an appropriate tintable primer for your optimal color accuracy and coverage. Clean Mildew from the Surface: Mildew is a fungus that looks like dirt, but won’t wash off. Mildew must be removed before painting or it will grow through any new coat of paint. To remove mildew or suspected mildew, scrub surface before painting with a commercial mildew remover or a solution of 1 part liquid chlorine bleach to 3 parts water. Rinse thoroughly. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Protect skin and eyes by wearing rubber gloves and eye goggles when working with bleach solution.
  • Application
Stir paint thoroughly. Intermix containers for uniformity. Apply product when surface, air and product temperatures are between 50-90°F. Apply with a premium-quality brush, a synthetic roller cover or airless spray. Thinning not required. Finish with light roller strokes in one direction. Certain deep or bright colors may require an additional coat for complete hide. Surface conditions and application technique may impact coverage.
