Valspar® Block Filler Primer
This fast-drying filler seals porous masonry surfaces. It fills the voids in cement and cinder blocks, reducing the amount of finish coat needed to coat such surfaces and provides an ideal primer surface for latex and oil-base topcoats. Formulated for professional painter use in residential, commercial, institutional and industrial applications. NOTE: Exterior use requires topcoating with exterior paints for maximum performance.
HOW TO USE

UsageProperly prepared interior and exterior surfaces including bare cinder block, cement, and masonry. Do not apply latex Block Filler to previously painted surfaces.

PrepThoroughly clean the surface and allow to dry. Remove allold paint, dirt, dust, chalk, grease, and mildew. Patch all cracks with appropriate patching compound. Remove any powdery dust and efflorescence. Efflorescence is caused by water entry within the wall itself. If efflorescence is present, find the source of water entry (cracked, parapet cap tiles, open joints or cracks, etc.) and repair before painting. SPECIAL NOTE: All new-cementitious surfaces must cure at least 30 days before applying Valspar® Professional Block Filler.

ApplicationStir thoroughly with a paddle or Jiffy Mixer before using. Apply at temperatures above 50°F. Reduction is not recommended.

Clean-up & DisposalCleanup, storage and disposal: Clean spills, spatters, hands and tools immediately after use with soap and warm water. After cleaning, flush spray equipment with compliant cleanup solvent to prevent rusting of the equipment.
