HOW TO USE
-
UsageGreat for use on properly prepared interior and exterior concrete or masonry floors such as patios, walkways, pool decks, living spaces and basements.
-
PrepGeneral: Read the Lead Warning paragraph. All surfaces must be clean, dry and free of all loose, peeling paint or contaminants. Do not apply over surface treated with water repellent sealers. Bare concrete: Allow 30 days minimum for new concrete to cure before painting. Clean and etch new or bare concrete with Fast Prep® Cleaner, Degreaser & Etcher. Follow all Fast Prep label instructions. Previously painted/Stained concrete: Strip off all old coating and then follow bare concrete instructions.
-
ApplicationAvoid application in direct sunlight or onto hot concrete surfaces. Mix well before and during use. Intermix cans of the same color. Dampen concrete thoroughly with water; remove any standing water or puddles. Use a pump sprayer set to a fine-spray pattern. Apply stain to small sections (4' x 4') at a time, spraying in a random circular pattern. Work quickly to maintain a wet edge. For a more uniform appearance, immediately back-roll wet areas with a 3/8" nap roller. Do not let stain “puddle” on surface. Allow to dry 4 hours before deciding if another coat is needed. A second coat will yield a darker, more uniform color. TIP: For a more varied appearance, choose a 2-color effect. Spray a second color onto the first wet coat of stain in a random pattern, but do not back-roll.
