Add unique style and quiet sophistication to your walls with Sandstone textured paint. Sandstone adds a distinctive granular appearance to your bedrooms, living room, dining room or den. Use on properly prepared wallboard, plaster, wood, masonry and brick. Do not use on trim, cabinets or furniture.
One gallon covers approximately 300 sq. ft. (27.9 m²) depending on surface porosity and texture. Two coats are required. Do not thin.
For New or Bare Surfaces: New wallboard and plaster should be fully cured and clean. Remove all sanding dust. New walls must be primed with an interior PVA primer. For Previously Painted Surfaces: All surfaces should be clean, dry and free of peeling and chipping paint. Patch any cracks; sand lightly and remove all sanding dust. Do not apply Sandstone over glossy surfaces. Dull all glossy surfaces with sandpaper or liquid gloss remover. Remove all sanding dust and wipe with a damp cloth before applying.
Mix well before and during use. Brush a 3" border around the ceiling, floor, trim edges and corners. Ensure a wet edge during rolling for an even appearance. Roll using a premium quality 1/2" nap roller. Work in 3 foot square sections rolling in a large "W" pattern and filling in the square. Finish with long, even strokes from floor to ceiling. Do not stretch this product. Allow to dry completely before applying the second coat.
Apply only when surface and air temperatures are 50-90°F (10-32°C). Dries to the touch in 1 hour. Wait at least 4 hours before applying the second coat.
