Create the look and feel of smooth marble on you walls with Venetian Plaster. This unique interior acrylic finish imparts layers of rich, opaque color with delicate tone-on-tone highlights. Use on properly prepared interior plaster or drywall. Not for use in wet areas (showers) or on working surfaces such as countertops, tabletops, etc. Refer to the brochure for detailed instructions and helpful hints.
One gallon will cover approximately 150 to 190 sq. ft. (14-18 m²) per coat. Remember, you will need at least a two-coat application when using this product. Do not thin.

Clean and dry surface thoroughly, removing all dirt, dust, rust, grease and wax. Scrape off loose paint. Remove wallpaper. Plaster cracks and spot prime. Dull glossy surfaces with gloss remover or sandpaper. Remove chalky residue and prime unpainted plaster and wallboard with a latex wall primer. Prime all previously painted surfaces with interior PVA latex primer or stain blocking primer for a smooth, uniform surface.
Follow detailed product label instructions, and read all label instructions before you begin. Apply the first coat with a steel spatula, trowling on to cover the entire wall. Once dry, apply a second coat in a thin veneer like thickness, and knock down any peaks, until you have a smooth surface. Additional coats may be applied for increased depth of finish. Apply the final coat, polishing the finish before the plaster has fully dried. Surfaces exposed to frequent washing and moisture should be protected with Venetian Plaster Protective Finish.
Apply only when surface and air temperatures are 50-90°F (10-32°C). Wait 1-4 hours before recoating or applying Venetian Plaster Protective Finish.
WARNING! If you scrape, sand or remove old paint, you may release lead dust. LEAD IS TOXIC. EXPOSURE TO LEAD DUST CAN CAUSE SERIOUS ILLNESS, SUCH AS BRAIN DAMAGE, ESPECIALLY IN CHILDREN. PREGNANT WOMEN SHOULD ALSO AVOID EXPOSURE. Wear a NIOSH-approved respirator to control lead exposure. Clean up carefully with a HEPA vacuum and a wet mop.
