Tuscan Accents is the second step of a two-step process. Use over Signature Colors Tuscan Accents Base Coat to create a two-color finish resembling antique Italian finishes in its unmistakable warmth and character. Bringing to mind old-world charm, it will add a sense of history to your home decor.

Coverage

One gallon covers approximately 400 sq. ft. (37.2 m²) depending on surface porosity and texture. Do not thin.

Where to Use

Use on properly prepared wallboard, plaster, wood, masonry and brick.

Preparing the Surface

Tuscan Accents must be applied over Tuscan Accents Base Coat. Do not use other base coats. Follow Surface Preparation directions on Base Coat label.

Application

Apply Signature Colors Tuscan Accents Base Coat and allow to dry for 24 hours. Do not use a substitute base coat. Apply Tuscan Accents with the Color Washing Brush. Dip the brush 1-2" into the paint. Using both sides of the brush, apply in small crisscross "X" patterns. Work in 3' X 3' sections using random strokes filling in all white space within each section. In the same 3" X 3" section, without reloading the brush, blend the "X" pattern brush strokes. Use long, sweeping motions going both vertical and horizontal to blend. Repeat these steps in each section until the wall is complete.

Dry Time

Apply only when surface and air temperatures are 50-90°F (10-32°C). Dries to the touch in 1-3 hours.

WARNING! If you scrape, sand or remove old paint, you may release lead dust. LEAD IS TOXIC. EXPOSURE TO LEAD DUST CAN CAUSE SERIOUS ILLNESS, SUCH AS BRAIN DAMAGE, ESPECIALLY IN CHILDREN.
