Beautify your interior ceilings with Valspar Ultra Premium Interior Latex Acrylic Ceiling Texture Paint. This premium quality paint provides ceilings with a dramatic "popcorn type" texture to hide minor surface imperfections.

Coverage

One gallon of paint covers approximately 50-60 sq. ft. depending upon texture pattern and surface porosity. A heavier stipple requires much more paint. Thin sparingly only if paint becomes too thick to apply.

Where to Use

Ideal for properly prepared plaster, drywall, acoustical tiles, wood, metal, cement, brick and masonry. Not recommended for walls. DO NOT USE OVER WALLPAPER.

Preparing Your Surfaces

Thoroughly clean the surface and allow to dry. Remove wallpaper and loose, peeling paint. Patch cracks and spot prime. Dull glossy surfaces. Remove chalky residue and prime new wallboard with latex wall primer. New plaster and masonry must cure 30 days before priming. Prime bare wood with an acrylic enamel undercoater. Prime ferrous metal with a rust inhibiting oil metal primer. For other metals, use appropriate metal primer. Water stained ceilings or other stained areas must be primed with a latex or oil-base stain block primer to prevent bleed-through. Note: Oil-based primers dry to a hard, slippery surface and must be roughened by sanding to increase texture paint adhesion.

Dry Time

Paint only when surface and air temperatures are 50-90°F. Dries hard overnight and cures fully in one week

Application

Mix well before and during use. Intermix all cans to ensure uniform color. Use a stiff brush, putty knife or trowel. Working in 3-foot squares, smooth out surface with a premium quality looped texture roller or a medium nap roller. Work new areas into the adjoining areas while both are still wet. Finish with long, even strokes, blending into finished areas.

If you scrape, sand or remove old paint, you may release lead dust. LEAD IS TOXIC. EXPOSURE TO LEAD DUST CAN CAUSE SERIOUS ILLNESS, SUCH AS BRAIN DAMAGE, ESPECIALLY IN CHILDREN. PREGNANT WOMEN SHOULD ALSO AVOID EXPOSURE. Wear a NIOSH-approved respirator to control lead exposure. Clean up carefully with a HEPA vacuum and a wet mop.
