Impart the luxurious look and feel of suede to your walls with Signature Colors Brushed Suede. This subtle, textured finish transforms walls with unique light and dark areas reminiscent of authentic suede.
One gallon will cover approximately 150 sq. ft. (13.9m²)in two coats. Do not thin.
New or bare surfaces: New wallboard and plaster should be fully cured and clean. If required, patch all holes and cracks; sand lightly and remove all sanding dust. New walls must be primed with an interior PVA primer. If you have chosen a darker suede color, we recommend tinting the primer to a similar color to ensure your desired results. Previously painted surfaces: All surfaces should be clean, dry and free of peeling and chipping paint. If required, patch all holes and cracks; sand lightly and remove sanding dust. Dull glossy surfaces with sandpaper or a liquid gloss remover. Remove all sanding dust and wipe with a damp cloth before applying this product.
Mix well before and during use. Intermix containers of the same color. First Coat: Brush a 3" border (cut in) around the edges in front of your working area. Roll using a premium quality 1/2" nap roller. Work in 3' square sections, then roll with long strokes from ceiling to floor. Do not stretch this product. Allow to dry completely. Second Coat: Use a premium quality 3" or 4" polyester brush. Apply in a series of random "Xs". Start with larger "Xs" (about 1 foot in length) and overlap with smaller "Xs" (about 4-6" in length). Continue this process until the entire wall is covered. Refer to the brochure for detailed instructions and helpful hints.
Apply only when surface and air temperatures are 50-90°F (10-32°C). Dries to the touch in 1–3 hours. Wait 4 hours before applying a second coat.
WARNING! If you scrape, sand or remove old paint, you may release lead dust. LEAD IS TOXIC. EXPOSURE TO LEAD DUST CAN CAUSE SERIOUS ILLNESS, SUCH AS BRAIN DAMAGE, ESPECIALLY IN CHILDREN. PREGNANT WOMEN SHOULD ALSO AVOID EXPOSURE. Wear a NIOSH-approved respirator to control lead exposure. Clean up carefully with a HEPA vacuum and a wet mop.
