Give your walls a distinctive and dramatic flair with Brilliant Metals glaze. This unique finish imparts a vibrant metallic sheen to liven up any room. Use on properly prepared wall and ceiling surfaces.
One gallon covers approximately 400 sq. ft. (37.2 m²). Do not thin.
Surface should be clean and dry. Scrape off loose paint and patch all holes, cracks, and indentations. Any imperfections and wall seams will be more visually apparent with a metallic paint.
Apply a base coat of Signature Colors Interior Semi-Gloss Wall and Trim in a color similar to your chosen Brilliant Metals. Allow to dry completely. Stir paint thoroughly (note: paint may not have a completely uniform look). Brush a 2-3" border ("cut-in") around ceiling, floor, trim edges and corners. Note: Do not cut-in around the entire room at once as this can cause a banded appearance. Rather, brush out edges in sections. Fully saturate the Brilliant Metals roller cover. Working in 4' tall x 2' wide sections, roll the paint in up and down motions only (never side-to-side). Finish an entire vertical column of sections. When done, without adding more paint, finish with long, even strokes from ceiling to floor. Do not push on the roller. If lap lines are visible, reroll the line in a light, single ceiling-to-floor motion. Do not stretch this product. Allow to dry completely, at least 4 hours. Apply a second coat using the same rolling method as the first coat (no "cutting in" is necessary). Finish will appear uneven until dry.
Apply only when surface and air temperatures are 50-90°F (10-32°C). Dries to the touch in 1 hour. Wait 4 hours before recoating.
